• Welcome to The Hickory Hub!
By using our space, you agree to follow these community guidelines. These rules keep the Hub safe, professional, and enjoyable for everyone.

    Community Standards

    • Be respectful of others working around you.

    • Keep noise to a reasonable level. Use headphones for calls or music.

    • Meeting rooms must be booked in advance and left the way you found them.

    Cleanliness

    • Please take all trash outside to the dumpster — do not leave it on the floor or in common areas.

    • Wash any dishes, mugs, or utensils you use so they’re ready for the next member.

    • Shared spaces (kitchen, coffee bar, lounge, printers) are for everyone. Clean up after use.

    Access & Security

    • Do not prop exterior doors open or allow unknown persons into the building.

    • Each member is responsible for their own guests and visitors. Guests must remain with you at all times.

    • Private and semi-private offices are for assigned members only, unless an add-on member is registered.

    • Audio & video surveillance is in use in common areas of The Hub.

    Membership Use

    • Flex Desk (Basic) access: Monday–Friday during business hours.

    • Flex Desk (24/7) and Private Office members: access anytime.

    • Day pass and visitor check-ins are required at the front desk tablet.

    Payments & Accounts

    • Membership fees are due monthly in advance.

    • Late fees apply if payment is more than five (5) days overdue.

    • On the 17th of the month, if payment has not been received, membership will be considered forfeited and the office or desk will be opened for new members.

    • Returned payments (NSF or chargebacks) will incur a $25 fee, which is the responsibility of the member.

    • Access may be paused for non-payment until the account is current.

    Mail & Deliveries

    • A CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency) authorization form must be on file before any member may receive mail or packages at The Hub’s address.

    • Mail without authorization cannot be accepted and will be returned to sender.

    Liability

    • The Hub is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

    • Please secure your belongings and lock private offices when not in use.

By continuing to use The Hickory Hub, you agree to these terms.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community professional, safe, and welcoming!

  • Purpose

To maintain a professional and equitable workspace for all members, The Hickory Hub allows members to host guests for collaboration, meetings, or short visits while ensuring that extended or recurring workspace use is properly covered under a Day Pass or Membership Add-On.

    1. Guest Access

Members are welcome to bring guests, employees, or contractors into the space as Member Affiliates for the purpose of collaboration, meetings, or project discussions.

    • Guests must sign in upon arrival at the designated kiosk in the front lobby.

    • Guests must remain accompanied by the hosting member while on-site.

    2. Duration & Day Pass Requirement

If a guest remains in the workspace for more than two hours and is not part of a scheduled meeting room booking, they are considered a Day User, unless approved otherwise.

    • A Guest Day Pass ($20) must be purchased by the hosting member for any guest who remains beyond the two-hour window.

    • Guests using the workspace independently, even within a member’s private office, are subject to the Day Pass requirement.

    3. Recurring or Ongoing Use

Guests are intended for occasional visits only.
If a guest begins using the space regularly or repeatedly (e.g., multiple days per week), they must either:

    • Obtain their own membership, or

    • Be added under the member’s account as a Member Add-On ($100/month).

The Hub reserves the right to restrict or deny guest access in cases of excessive or recurring use that falls outside the intent of this policy.

    4. Amenities

Guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary hot beverages and water during their visit.
Sodas and snacks are available on-site and will be added to the hosting member’s invoice a la carte.
This ensures hospitality while maintaining accurate accounting for shared amenities.

    5. Accountability

The hosting member is responsible for ensuring that all guests adhere to Hub policies, including conduct, confidentiality, and appropriate use of amenities.
Unregistered guests or those found using the space without proper authorization may result in fees being applied to the hosting member’s account.

    6. Purpose & Fairness

This policy helps keep access fair for all members, ensures resources are available to those who contribute to the space, and maintains the collaborative, professional environment that defines The Hickory Hub.

  • Signage Policy

At The Hickory Hub, we want to maintain a welcoming, professional, and safe environment for all members, guests, and the community. To keep our space consistent and compliant with the City of Hickory’s ordinances, we have established the following signage policy:

    ❌ Signs Not Permitted

    • No signs are allowed in the City right-of-way, including sidewalks or grassy strips along Main Ave NE.

    • No signs may be placed on utility poles or landscaping.

    • Unauthorized signage will be removed without notice.

    ✅ Signs Permitted

    • Members and visitors may only use approved signage provided by The Hickory Hub.

    • Additional or custom signage must be pre-approved by Hub management before placement.

    • Approved signs must be placed entirely on Hub property and at least 5 feet back from the public sidewalk/right-of-way, in designated zones only.

    • Signs may not obstruct walkways, parking areas, or visibility for drivers and pedestrians.

⚖️ City of Hickory Ordinance Reference

The City of Hickory prohibits temporary signage in the public right-of-way. The right-of-way includes the street, curb, sidewalk, and the grassy strip between the curb and private property line. Signs placed in this area may be removed by City enforcement without warning.
